- When Guo Baifei, Jiang Xiwen and Liu Li first came out of school more than ten years ago, they had a deep relationship with Sheriff Luo Youbang's four apprentices. In an operation three years ago, Luo Youbang was shot dead by bandits, Liu Li was seriously injured and fell into a coma, Jiang Xiwen blamed Guo Baifei, and friends have since parted ways. Jiang Xiwen of the Intelligence Bureau is responsible for investigating the evidence of the group's crimes, while Guo Baifei of the Serious Crime Unit is responsible for tracking down the murderer and dispatching probationary inspector Wen Jiali to infiltrate the criminal group. Guo Baifei and Jiang Xiwen coincidentally received mysterious mobile phone messages one after another, prompting clues to the murder, and the superiors merged the two groups to form the Mysterious Information Intelligence Bureau (ASIB). ASIB is led by Guo Baifei and Jiang Xiwen to jointly dismantle these mysterious messages that seem to come from the future and solve the bizarre murder case.
